Maximum Torque per Voltage Flux-Weakening Strategy With Speed Limiter for PMSM Drives

This article presents an enhanced flux weakening (FW) control scheme for permanent magnet synchronous motors, focused on electric vehicle applications. The novelty of the proposed algorithm is integration in a unified both accelerator pedal as torque reference and cruise speed limiter limit, without interfering between them until this limit achieved. dq -axis current references are calculated from by using polar coordinate system per-unit system. latter based characteristic machine parameters, which aim to ease simplify implementation. Moreover, it takes advantage smooth transition low back electromotive force zone FW thanks voltage loop, changes current-vector angle. Another fundamental merit its capacity work all plane throughout maximum per ampere, constant torque, voltage, strategies switching algorithm. Simulations experimental results real exterior-rotor interior motor direct-drive e-motorbike verify effectiveness method.
